With standards higher than ever and a very good turn-out, many of the bouts were closely fought for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place. Certificates were awarded for refereeing awards and additional trophies were awarded for special merit; classes included "the Spirit of Judo" Club Championship March 2007

The trip to Brussels takes part on the last weekend in October each year.
We are invited to train with the club in Brussels for the weekend. This has become a very enjoyable time for both training and socialising. We have the chance to practice Aikido, Kendo, Karate and judo during the weekend with the host club who are very welcoming to us all. Some of the younger members sleep in the dojo for the weekend so it can be a budget weekend if required. The other members stay in a hotel not far from the dojo. This weekend is both enjoyable and invaluable for gaining experience especially in a martial art that you do not normally practice. Annual Brussels Trip 2005
September 2005: Students of Sakura Bana Judo Kwai were invited to a Judo and Aikido master-class given by Sensei Simon Smith Judo Black Belt 5th Dan, Aikido Black belt 2nd Dan and Sensei Adrian Price Judo Black Belt 2nd Dan, Aikido Green Belt, at Henbury Junior School, Bristol. Henbury 2005
